5 Top Tips For Healthy Winter Skin

The dreaded season of grey skies and seemingly never-ending drizzle is unfortunately upon us. Now, I get that the weather outside might be cold, dull, and a little depressing, but that doesn’t mean that your skin needs to be too!

In Ireland, believe it or not, we actually have it relatively good as our mild climate means that we have a pretty mild winter when compared to other parts of the world. But our winters, although very humid, can actually cause irritated and dehydrated skin in a lot of people of various skin types. This is usually due to the use of central heating systems at home causing dry air, and, believe it or not, the effects of those long hot showers too!

During summertime, it’s only natural that we tend to pay more attention to our skin – scrubbing, cleaning and moisturising it to perfection. But, during the winter months we should avoid the temptation of trying to hide dry and dull-looking skin under huge woolly scarves and thick tights!

  1. Moisturise, Moisturise, Moisturise!

You may have likely found a moisturiser that works just fine in spring and summer, but as the weather conditions change, your skin care regime should too! Super Moisturiser and AVST 1 from Environ are particularly effective to achieve the desired effect during harsh weather!
